Mgame announced on the 6th that pre-registrations for its in-development martial arts idle RPG 'Ghost Online Idle' have surpassed 1 million. The official launch is targeted for November.

Pre-registration opened on August 11 and reached 500,000 within nine days. The milestone passed 800,000 in early September before hitting 1 million on the 6th. Pre-registration will remain open until official release via the Mgame pre-registration page, Google Play, Apple App Store, and ONE Store.
Additional rewards for reaching 1 million include 'Red Crystals' and a dungeon entry ticket bundle. These will be delivered to the in-game mailbox after official launch, alongside pre-registration rewards such as 'Gold', 'Companion Summon Tickets', and 'Equipment Enhancement Stones'.
'Ghost Online Idle' is based on the online game 'Ghost Online', which originally launched in 2005. Mgame is developing the title as a mobile idle RPG leveraging the Ghost Online IP. While retaining classes, martial arts, regions, and monsters from the original, the open-field exploration structure has been converted into a stage-based idle system. At the center of the narrative is Taehwa Nogun, a legendary martial artist who lost everything after being betrayed by a disciple, detailing his journey to recover his memories and martial prowess.
Ahead of launch, video releases and user participation events were carried out. The main story trailer released on August 26 was created using generative AI technology to capture the lore and narrative of the original game. Following that, a Ghost Online Cosplay Challenge was held for one month starting August 27.
Participants in the challenge submitted photos or videos portraying Ghost Online IP characters to their personal social media channels. Submissions included both professional cosplay and casual "room cosplay" using household props. Post likes were tracked in real-time and displayed on a dedicated ranking page.
Lee Jae-chang, Executive Director of Ghost Online Idle at Mgame, said, "Surpassing 1 million pre-registrations was made possible thanks to both those who remember the original Ghost Online and newcomers who have shown interest." He added, "During the remaining time, we will conduct a final check on content and service stability to deliver a level of polish that repays everyone's patience."
