The long-awaited World of Warcraft: Forever (hereafter Forever) finally opened its doors on Thursday, November 5. Before embarking on a new adventure, the deliberation is always long: which race and class to choose, and what name to pick. After all that mental preparation, Thursday morning arrived, marking the start of Day 1 in Forever.
On launch day, taking in the surroundings is just as entertaining as leveling up. It is always exciting to see how others take their first steps and what the world we will share looks like. Since Forever specifically highlights enjoyable player interactions, including its campfire mechanics, adventuring while chatting with other players is a genuine pleasure. I found myself constantly looking around for fear of missing scenes that can only be witnessed today.
Filled with that same excitement, I set out to capture the sights of Day 1. The character guiding my WoW journey this time is an Undead Warlock. Starting from the west of Tirisfal Glades and making my way to The Barrens, I followed an early-game leveling route that will feel familiar to anyone who played original WoW or WoW Classic.
Starting in Deathknell, a Small Town in Tirisfal Glades! A fresh Undead, straight out of the grave, sets off

Undercity, the Capital Beneath Lordaeron The hub of the Forsaken and home of Arthas the Lich King

Leaving the Eastern Kingdoms for Kalimdor! Heading to The Crossroads, then back to Silverpine Forest—the staple early-game route
