Nexon announced on November 5 that it has released a collaboration update with the anime Jujutsu Kaisen for Mabinogi Mobile. In this update, players can transform into five Jujutsu Kaisen characters and battle using each character's active skills.
Mabinogi Mobile is an MMORPG developed by Nexon subsidiary devCAT. To celebrate the collaboration, two special photo frames have been installed in the town of Dunbarton, and four commemorative events will run until December 3.
To transform, players use the 'Jujutsu Kaisen Collab Transformation Trial Box' obtained from events. The playable transformation characters are Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, and Kento Nanami. Players can use active skills unique to each character, such as Yuji Itadori's 'Black Flash' and Satoru Gojo's 'Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void.' This marks the first time items allowing players to transform and battle have been introduced in a Mabinogi Mobile collaboration.
The school, town entrance, general store, and other areas around the Dunbarton town square are decorated in a Jujutsu Kaisen theme. In the town's photo booth, players can take photos using special collaboration frames.
Among the commemorative events, weekly missions allow players to earn Burning Points and 'Jujutsu Kaisen Collab Transformation Trial Boxes' for the five characters each week. Accumulating points awards additional rewards, such as 'Action: Black Flash', 'Action: Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void', and 'Title: Special Grade Sorcerer'.
The 'Collab Celebration! Attendance Event' distributes rewards based on cumulative check-in count. Rewards include the 'Jujutsu Kaisen Poster Selection Box', 'Stellagram Decoration: Panda', 'Title: Ten Shadows Technique User', and 'Jujutsu Kaisen Collab Transformation Trial Box: Yuji Itadori'.
In the Daily Training Event, players can use 'Daily Training Stamps' collected from missions to obtain items such as 'Stellagram Decoration: Yuji Itadori' and 'Title: Vessel of Sukuna'. The Cumulative Login Event rewards players based on daily playtime with items including 'Jujutsu Kaisen Plaque Selection Box', 'Stellagram Decoration: Satoru Gojo', and 'Title: The Strongest Sorcerer'.
