Nexon announced on November 5 that it is launching the '1st Anniversary Salon' event to celebrate the first anniversary of service for its mobile idle RPG, MapleStory: Idle RPG. The commemorative event will run until December 16, adding new jobs, companions, and dungeon content.
Co-developed by Nexon and Able Games, MapleStory: Idle RPG celebrates its first anniversary on November 6. The celebratory event will feature daily missions and ring enhancement content, alongside a '1,000% Special Hot Time' that increases EXP gains by 1,000% for one hour once a day.
The newly joining 'Cygnus Knights' jobs and companions are the 'Dawn Warrior' and 'Blaze Wizard'. The 'Dawn Warrior', who wields light through the power of the spirit 'Soul', is a Warrior class, while the 'Blaze Wizard', who inherits the power of the spirit 'Flame', is a Magician class that uses fire. Starting with these newly added jobs, existing players will also be able to change their job to them.
Event currency for the celebration can be collected from the '1st Anniversary Salon Special Missions'. Completing daily missions awards '1st Anniversary Pocket Watches' and '1st Anniversary Points', while additional '1st Anniversary Special Coins' and growth materials are provided based on cumulative completion counts. Collected '1st Anniversary Points' can be exchanged for '1st Anniversary Special Coins' or growth materials depending on the amount held.
The 'Salon Ring Workshop' is content where players can enhance and equip the event ring, the 'Chaos Ring'. Players can use 'Chaos Ring Enhancement Stones' obtained from daily and achievement missions to raise the ring's equipment tier or change its sub-stats. Completed rings can be acquired as actual equipment using a 'Chaos Ring Exchange Ticket' and equipped in a ring slot.
The event shops where currency can be spent will operate until December 18. At the '1st Anniversary Salon Special Shop', players can exchange '1st Anniversary Special Coins' for items such as a '1st Anniversary Legendary Relic Selection Coupon', 'Legendary Companion Summon Ticket', and 'Star Force 17-Star Enhancement Scroll'. Game items can also be exchanged using '1st Anniversary Pocket Watches' at the '1st Anniversary Shop'.
The 'New Adventurer Growth Challenge' for new accounts will run until December 16. Accounts created after November 5 that reach Level 30 can participate, forming groups of 30 players who complete level missions, challenge missions, and repeatable missions over a 60-day period. Depending on the 'Challenge Points' accumulated through missions, players receive buffs such as increased free entry ticket refills for growth dungeons and reduced upgrade times. Daily EXP gain buffs are also awarded based on point rankings within each group.
The challenge-exclusive boss 'Demon King Balrog' is defeated by combining the total damage dealt by all group members. One entry ticket required for the challenge is provided daily, and a 'Growth Challenge Outfit' set and growth materials are rewarded based on individual and group damage records.
Characters created after November 5 will receive the growth support event pass, the 'New Character Growth Event', until January 6, 2027. Reward tiers are divided into Level 30–70 and Level 70–100, granting rewards upon reaching designated levels within each tier. Rewards include 'Elixirs of Growth', which instantly increase a character's level by 1 when used at specific levels, alongside growth materials.
In the dungeon content 'Monster Park Extreme', parties of up to four players can tackle challenges and earn EXP. Rewards for the new guild content 'Guild Bounties' include 'Equipment Sub-Stat Change Stones' to re-roll sub-stats on equipment, as well as new scrolls that grant additional stats.
