It is not unusual to get lost in Ironforge. You might find yourself wandering into the Deeprun Tram entrance while searching for the Auction House, or realize you went in the wrong direction only after circling the Great Forge. But now, taking a wrong turn might lead you face-to-face with Dark Iron dwarves. A new dungeon, the 'Hall of Thanes,' has opened beneath King Magni's throne.

Hall of Thanes, a tomb beneath Ironforge A low-level dungeon accessible from level 13
The Hall of Thanes, a new dungeon in World of Warcraft: Forever (hereafter Forever), is a low-level dungeon located beneath Ironforge. With a recommended entry level of 13 to 18, it is a great dungeon to visit for Alliance players who have just left their racial starting zones and are exploring Westfall.
The Hall of Thanes is a burial tomb where ancient dwarven lords rest. However, as Dark Iron dwarves invaded the tomb, long-slumbering spirits were awakened. The dungeon's overall storyline revolves around clearing out these wandering spirits and invaders, uncovering why the Dark Iron dwarves invaded the tomb, and laying the spirits back to rest.
Defeating Dark Iron dwarves in Dun Morogh allows players to obtain a map. Players and Earthseer Farseen discover that the complex underground passages drawn on the map all lead underneath Ironforge. Afterwards, commissioned by Magni to defeat the invaders, players head underground.
Following the path down to Old Ironforge on the left side of Ironforge's High Seat, you can find the way leading to the Hall of Thanes.

Ancestors awakened by invaders Bringing peace to spirits wandering the tomb
Along with requests to eliminate the invaders, players receive a quest to put back to sleep the ancestors who were woken by strange noises. Upon stepping into the Hall of Thanes, you immediately encounter awakened dwarven spirits roaming around.
As you advance while defeating spirits, you will find an NPC named Ghostly Attendant standing along the way. She asks you to grant peace to the spirit of a dwarven lord named Faldrim Anvilmar. Faldrim Anvilmar is the first boss of the Hall of Thanes, continuously patrolling around the tomb.

What is the goal of the invading Dark Iron dwarves? Fitting for a low-level dungeon, the difficulty is relatively easy
After defeating Faldrim Anvilmar and moving deeper, the invading Dark Iron dwarves start appearing one after another. Heading into the tomb's inner cave, the fire elemental Magmatus appears. Fitting for the Dark Iron dwarves who once summoned Ragnaros during the War of the Three Hammers, they have summoned a fire elemental here as well.
Finally, as you head toward the deepest part of the tomb, a Plunder Golem blocks the vault entrance. Defeating the golem and stepping into the vault reveals Durgen Dirgehammer.
Inside the vault, alongside dwarven heirlooms, lies a stone tablet called the 'Treaty of Understanding'. When you bring this to Magni, he explains that it is a peace treaty intended to establish harmony among dwarves after the War of the Three Hammers. However, the Dark Iron dwarves ultimately never signed the treaty.
What exactly the Dark Iron dwarves were aiming for remains unrevealed. It will be interesting to see how the story of the three dwarven clans—who reconciled on live servers—will unfold in World of Warcraft: Forever.
