Kakao Games officially launched Dokkaebi's World, a 2.5D MMORPG developed by Supercat, on October 8. Alongside the release, attendance reward events and streaming platform cross-promotional events are being held.
To commemorate the launch, the '28-Day Special Attendance Event' grants daily login rewards and a 'Hero's Protection Selection Box' as the final reward. Players can also participate in Drops events on Chzzk and SOOP. Watching Dokkaebi's World streams for a specified period awards in-game coupons.
Dokkaebi's World is based on the original Naver web novel and webtoon Myeonggwisudojeon. Built on pixel art infused with traditional Korean sentiment, the game combines 2D pixel characters with 3D backgrounds. Through this hybrid visual presentation, it delivers both a retro vibe and a three-dimensional sense of space.
Cha Myeong-su, head of Kakao Games' business division, said, "While preparing for 'Dokkaebi's World,' we actively referenced and incorporated player feedback. Even after official launch, we will continuously listen to the various opinions players have during actual gameplay and reflect them in our operations to build a game that can be enjoyed for a long time."
