From yellow signs with black checkered patterns to road signs reading 'ROUGH ROAD', the streets of 'Crazy Taxi' have arrived at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. At Game Esports Seoul 2026 (GES 2026), which opened on September 18, SEGA Publishing Korea set up a booth offering the first hands-on demo of 'Crazy Taxi: World Tour' in Korea. The event runs for three days through September 20.
The booth is filled with the signature yellow color of the series' iconic cab. Black steel frames, wire mesh, caution tape, and stacked tires surround the demo area. Behind visitors enjoying the game with headphones on, a photo zone awaits with life-sized character cutouts and a tilted taxi panel.
Souvenirs are also prepared for attendees alongside the demo. Participants who try the demo receive a 5-sticker set, while visitors who verify adding the game to their wishlist on Steam or the PlayStation Store receive a reusable cup. Here is a look in photos at the SEGA booth at GES 2026, where even the merchandise is themed in yellow.

'Crazy Taxi' is SEGA's driving action game that first debuted in arcades in 1999. Players become taxi drivers, picking up passengers and rushing them to destinations across the city. The core gameplay revolves around dropping off as many passengers as possible within the time limit to maximize earnings. Daring driving mixed with flashy drifts and jumps is also a defining trait of the series.

The newly showcased 'World Tour' is a new title that expands the taxi business across the globe. The full game will feature a Story Mode where protagonist Axel travels across various cities to recover his stolen taxi, a Classic Mode where players earn money within a time limit just like the original, and online multiplayer to compete with other players. Features to acquire vehicles using earnings from fares and customize them to your liking are also included.

The cup and stickers received on-site are even more fun when used together. For example, you can place a character vertically in an open spot on the yellow cup and wrap a taxi sticker around the bottom. You can also opt for scenery stickers shaped like travel postcards. Depending on which stickers you place where, the same souvenir takes on a unique look.

In the game, there is the fun of customizing your own ride, while in real life, there is the fun of decorating the cup received on-site to your liking. Rushing through the demo, collecting souvenirs, and crafting a custom cup with stickers—aren't you curious to check out the yellow taxi at DDP?
