On September 11, Krafton applied Update 43.1 to 'PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS' (hereinafter PUBG), introducing new action mechanics and expanded item interaction features.
With this update, a kicking action has been added to unarmed combat. Players can use kicks to push other players back or destroy certain environmental objects such as windows and wooden doors. On the water's surface, sidearms and throwable weapons can now be used, while swimming and diving movement speeds have increased by 25% compared to before.
Item interactions have also been expanded. Items on the ground can now be directly moved depending on their type or thrown to pass them to teammates. Healing and boost items, as well as certain deployable items, can be used immediately while sitting on the ground. Balance adjustments were made to Light Machine Guns (LMG) based on play data and user feedback collected since Update 42.3. The adjustments target aim-down-sights (ADS) speed, recoil, effectiveness against vehicles, and spawn rates.
Collaboration content with the anime 'Jujutsu Kaisen' has also been implemented. Themed spaces and visual elements inspired by the collaboration have been added to parts of Erangel. A new 'Leaderboard' feature has been introduced to the career menu, allowing players to check rankings based on Ranked matches, season wins, kills per weapon, clan EXP, and more.
In addition, the update reintroduces Arcade Solo Deathmatch, adjusts boat durability and repair functions, changes parachute deployment conditions, supports NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.1 for PC, operates 'Brawl' mode in Duos, adjusts character hitboxes on consoles, and expands custom preset slots.
