Chapter 7 Season 4 'Override' of Epic Games' globally popular title Fortnite has begun. The new season introduces fresh gameplay where players can activate overrides to alter the rules of the game, uncover Lobby Hacks in the real world, or enter cheat codes across the island.

Players can jump into battle in whole new ways alongside various gaming legends, such as dashing through 'Green Hill Zone' in Sonic the Hedgehog's 'Power Sneakers' or throwing a 'Tetris Rift'.

'Override Consoles', which appear in every match, are devices that allow players to rewrite server-wide rules, making it crucial to claim them before others do. The name of the player controlling the console is displayed around its pedestal, allowing everyone to see who has secured control. Rare 'Squad Overrides' grant buffs exclusively to the first squad that acquires them, but the player's location is revealed on the map, leaving them open to pursuit by rival players.

A variety of iconic weapons and gear representing legendary games have also been added. Players can aim for a one-shot headshot elimination with 'Midas' Masterpiece' pistol, or power up and stop enemies in their tracks with Mega Man's legendary arm cannon, the 'Mega Buster'. Later in the season, items such as Kingdom Hearts' 'Kingdom Key' and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' 'Rebecca's Guns' are also scheduled to appear.

A new generation of Sprites arrives in Battle Royale. Sprites collected during Chapter 7 Season 3 'Runners' carry over into the new 'Sprite Garden' mode. In the Sprite Garden, players can play with their Sprites or show off their collection to friends.

'Sprite Dust', obtained by capturing new Sprites, can be used for Chest Hacks. Chest Hacks allow players to customize the items obtained from chests in Battle Royale and add bonus items that cannot be found anywhere else.

Sonic the Hedgehog headlines the new Battle Pass, accompanied by the 'Tails Sidekick'. Players who purchase the Battle Pass before 12:59 PM on August 28 will receive the 'Infiltrator Grace Crowne' outfit and accessories as a launch-week exclusive bonus. Gifting the Battle Pass to a friend during the season awards both the sender and the recipient the 'Peril Peak Mali' outfit and accessories.

Throughout the season, collaboration items and outfits with various games—including Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Persona 5 Royal, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, 99 Nights in the Forest, and Crash Bandicoot—will be released sequentially in the Item Shop. Spyro the Dragon will also make an appearance in his iconic classic style.
