The winning clips revealed from week #1 our Overwatch clip contest

We had tons of awesome clips submitted to our contest and it was difficult to make a final verdict. Every time we thought we had found our favorite clips, someone new would submit something even better! If you don't see your clip this week, don't worry. Every clip submitted is eligible to win each week, meaning the coolest clips will always get there fair chance to win!

Without further adieu, here are our favorite clips from the first week!

Outplay or Skillful

Clip submission name:
No, you don't get to resurrect!

This clip shows exactly why Genji is so feared in a skilled player’s hands. Add a Nano Boost on top of the already powerful Dragonblade and, well you saw how quickly he sliced through the enemy team. What we like most about this clip though, is the patience Genji has when he sees the Mercy coming in. Why kill one support, when you could get the pleasure of killing her friends all over again as well?

Clip submission title: Nano-boost initiation

Can you count how many time Zarya should have died there? We aren’t completely sure of what healing wizardry went on here, but Zarya was by all means dead to rights. Through grit, determination, and some really impressive hip shots, Ana was able to keep up with the raw damage of a Reaper ultimate. The best part of the clip? Definitely, the moment Ana realized her scope was only holding her back.

Funny Or Lucky

Clip submission title:
Zarya waves goodbye

The comedic timing of this play is top-notch. When Zarya uses her ultimate to trap multiple enemies against the wall, they were doomed to fall to their deaths. The casual wave goodbye, once the triple-kill happens, was enough to make it on this week's funniest clips. Some players may not know about this technique as well, so extra marks for the clever play!

Clip submission title: Hanzo's (Desperate) Last Dragonstrike

This is one of those clips where we would love some context. Was this a last ditch effort to save the game? Was this a total mistake? Did he just want a cool screen to end the game on? No matter the reason, this clip is made even better by the old school Street Fighter sound effects overlaid. The best part, in our opinion, is the instant replay that slows down the audio just enough to be hilarious.

Congratulations to our winners! You will be contacted shortly via email with regards to claiming your b.net balance prize.
