Riot Games has announced the schedule to honor G2 Esports mid laner 'Caps' Rasmus Winther, who has been selected as the third legend in the Hall of Legends and the first from a Western region.

Riot Games announced on the 16th that Rasmus Winther has been chosen as the third inductee into the Hall of Legends—the highest honor for players who have left a remarkable mark on the League of Legends esports stage—and the first Western player to receive the distinction.

As a representative player of the Western region, Rasmus Winther began his professional career at Fnatic and has continued to demonstrate top-tier performance since moving to G2 Esports. He set a monumental record by winning the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 17 times. Additionally, he was a runner-up at the World Championship with Fnatic in 2018 and G2 Esports in 2019, and he reached the top of the podium at the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational.

Still highly active in the professional scene, Rasmus Winther has consistently shown strength against LCK teams. He defeated SK Telecom T1 in the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational semifinals and went on to reach the finals of that year's World Championship after consecutive victories over DAMWON Gaming in the quarterfinals and SK Telecom T1 in the semifinals. He further proved his competitiveness by defeating T1 3-1 in the second round of the lower bracket at the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, held in Daejeon, South Korea.

The schedule for the induction celebrations has also been finalized. An official trophy presentation ceremony will take place in Berlin, Germany, on the 18th (local time), followed by in-game commemorative events starting September 10. During this period, players will be able to access an event pass celebrating his career, along with special commemorative cosmetic items.
