On the 16th, Hanjin Brion defeated Kiwoom DRX 2-1 in the Rise Group match of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno-gu, Seoul. With this win, the team broke its streak of losing the match after winning the first set in all three of their previous encounters this season, and officially secured a spot in the Play-In stage.

Hanjin Brion took control early in the first set. By pairing Elise with 'Teddy' Park Jin-sung’s Caitlyn, they overwhelmed the opposing Yuna and Bard in the laning phase. In the mid lane, 'Roamer's' Cassiopeia picked off Lee Sin, providing breathing room for the team. Powered by Caitlyn’s firepower, Brion navigated the game with ease.

Brion’s momentum faltered near the Elder Dragon. A teamfight broke out during a standoff, which Brion lost, allowing Kiwoom DRX to secure both the Elder Dragon and Baron, seemingly turning the tide. However, Kiwoom engaged in a disastrous teamfight while attempting to clear the nexus turrets, allowing Brion to flip the game back. After a series of twists and turns, Brion took the first set.

The second set was decided in the pick-ban phase. Unlike Kiwoom DRX, who drafted a highly cohesive composition featuring K'Sante, Wukong, Viktor, Ezreal, and Karma, Hanjin Brion relied on Jayce and Akali to disrupt the board, but they failed to execute. As the key champions failed to shine, the team could not find the right angles for teamfights and ultimately lost without finding an answer.

In the third set, both teams opted for aggressive dive compositions. To counter Kiwoom DRX’s Ambessa and Vi, Hanjin Brion drafted Aatrox, Nocturne, Neeko, and Kai'Sa. The game was decided by a teamfight over the Dragon. Brion initiated, and while Kiwoom DRX attempted to counter, Brion’s play succeeded while Kiwoom gained nothing. Following consecutive teamfight losses, Kiwoom lost the momentum to recover, and Hanjin Brion maintained their lead through subsequent skirmishes to secure the third set victory.

'Teddy,' who carried the team in the first set on Caitlyn and the third on Kai'Sa, was named Player of the Match (POM). With this win, Hanjin Brion moved to 9-15 and took the lead in the Rise Group, while Kiwoom DRX fell to 7-17, leaving their Play-In qualification uncertain.
