'Pokémon Pokopia' has surpassed 5 million units in sales. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company Group announced on the 14th that the game's cumulative global sales, including both physical packages and digital downloads, have exceeded 5 million units. This milestone comes about four months after its March 5 release.

'Pokémon Pokopia' is a title exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. It recorded 2.2 million units sold within four days of its launch, with 1 million of those sales coming from Japan. As a life simulation game co-planned and developed by The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, and Koei Tecmo, players take on the role of a Metamon, using its Transformation ability and crafting features to restore a devastated land.

A free update has also been released, adding a 'Diving' skill that allows Metamon to explore underwater. To use this skill, players must install the update and reach a certain level of progress in the game.

The paid DLC, the Expansion Pass, will be released in three parts. The first installment, 'Bubbling Seabed Village,' was released on the 5th and includes a new underwater village, new Pokémon, furniture, and recipes. The second installment will be released later this year and will add accessories for Pokémon. The third installment is scheduled for 2027.

The Expansion Pass is available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop. The base game is required to play, and individual purchases of specific parts are not supported. Details regarding the third installment have not yet been disclosed.
