The Pokémon Company has announced that the first installment of the 'Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass,' new content for the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive 'Pokémon Pokopia,' will be released on August 5. This content was planned and developed in collaboration with GAME FREAK and KOEI TECMO GAMES.
In the first installment, 'Bubbling Undersea Village,' players can explore an underwater village with Popplio, helping various sea Pokémon with their requests to develop the town. New additions include 'Watermelon' crops, 'Smoothie' recipes, new customization items, an enhanced 'Surf' skill, and several new Pokémon.
New features include 'Floating Blocks' for building structures that hover in the water and 'Bubble Machines' that supply electricity to operate devices. Players can build a 'Sharpedo Submarine' to explore the deep sea or decorate with undersea-themed furniture. By obtaining the 'Starmie Doll,' players can access 'Dream Island,' where they can swim and cooperate with other players in multiplayer mode.
Expansion Pass purchasers will receive 'Metamon-patterned' wallpaper and block recipes, and early purchase bonuses include a serial code for 30 'Rare Poké-Metal.'
Future content plans were also revealed. The second installment, scheduled for release this winter, will add accessories that players can wear alongside their Pokémon, while the third installment, coming in 2027, will introduce new villages, Pokémon, and furniture.
Alongside the launch of the 'Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass,' a new 'Diving' skill will be updated for all players. This skill allows users to explore underwater with Water-type Pokémon, create rest areas and fields, and install tracks connecting the surface to the seabed, enabling town management even underwater.
From August 13 to 28, the 'Feebas' Beautiful Scale Collection' event will be held. Players can use 'Beautiful Scales' collected during the event to obtain beach-themed items to decorate habitats, allowing them to recruit 'Feebas' and 'Milotic' as companions.
More details about 'Pokémon Pokopia' can be found on the official website.
