On July 6th, a tower defense game was added in Black Desert Online KR. The new game, called Savage Rift, is a game mode where the players must defend the Protection Tower from waves of monsters. The game is over when the Tower is destroyed, and the players will receive rewards according to the last stage they reached. The last stage is stage 25, and it takes about 30 minutes to complete all stages.
The monsters in the Rift have high HP, making it hard for you to kill them with your regular weapons. You will need a special kind of weapon which you can purchase within the Rift. You can purchase them with the points you get by killing the monsters.
[Barbarian] Musket is the basic one, and [Barbarian] Enhanced Musket is an upgraded version of the Musket. Other placeable weapons include Flame Tower, Cannon, and Fire Arrow. The Enhanced Musket and the placeable weapons are expensive, so it is recommended to gather 30 points as fast as you can and get [Barbarian] Musket and [Barbarian] Bullet. Barricades are also important in blocking monsters.
The Imps will appear in the beginning of the Rift, and stronger and faster monsters like the Goblins, Naga, and Orcs will appear as the stage goes up. Flying Harpies will attack the players from the sky in stages 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25. In stage 25, the last stage, Field Bosses like Red Nose, Giath, Bheg, Titium, and Org will appear. The Field Bosses are extremely powerful, but will give you Black Stones and Hunter’s Seals, and Boss gear if you are lucky.
Only 1 party per server (maximum of 10 players in a party) can enter the Savage Rift, so if another party is already playing in the server, you must wait until they are done. Unfortunately, Savage Rift is only available in servers #2 and #3, so it is not easy to enter a game. More and more players are attracted to the Savage Rift for the new fun it provides and the fair amount of money they can get as a reward.
