Gamescom announced on the 1st that ticket sales have begun for Opening Night Live (ONL), the official kickoff event for the world's largest gaming exhibition, Gamescom 2026.
Gamescom ONL is the world's largest game showcase, where a vast array of new updates and release information for global AAA titles and major hits are unveiled. It is highly anticipated by gaming fans worldwide, as it offers the first look at new trailers and gameplay demos for upcoming titles, while also featuring developers who share behind-the-scenes stories and production insights each year.
Last year, ONL was broadcast live across more than 3700 channels worldwide. It proved its massive popularity by recording a peak of 2.1 million concurrent viewers and exceeding 91.5 million cumulative VOD views.
Last year's ONL featured a variety of major updates, including Hollow Knight: Silksong, SILENT HILL f, Black Myth: Wukong, and Fallout Season 2. The event also drew significant attention when Monster Hunter's Ryozo Tsujimoto and Final Fantasy's Naoki Yoshida took the stage to announce their collaboration.
This year's ONL will begin on August 25 at 8:00 PM (CET), and tickets for the live event can be purchased on the official website.
ONL tickets typically sell out immediately after going on sale each year. With major game companies such as Astragon, Capcom, Nintendo, Team17, Ubisoft, Xbox, and KRAFTON already confirmed for this year, tickets for the live event are expected to sell out quickly.
