On the 16th, following his keynote speech at the Nexon Developers Conference (NDC), Nexon Korea Co-CEO Kang Dae-hyun discussed the future direction of the 'Crazy Arcade' IP, which recently announced its service termination, and provided an update on the development of 'KARTRIDER Classic.' During his keynote, Kang emphasized the context of utilizing AI technology within game development and service environments.

Meeting with reporters, CEO Kang Dae-hyun addressed the decision to end the service for 'Crazy Arcade.' He stated, "This is not the end of the project; we are working on plans to ensure the IP continues."
This means that while the current form of the service is coming to an end, its unique assets, such as its characters and world-building, will be preserved. 'Crazy Arcade' is one of Nexon's long-running casual games, and the news of its service termination has been met with disappointment from its user base.
When asked about the new service format, Kang hinted at the possibility of integrating it into a platform similar to 'MapleStory Worlds.' He added, "We are envisioning a unique way to provide content for fans to enjoy." As 'MapleStory Worlds' is a sandbox platform where users create content using Nexon's assets, 'Crazy Arcade' is also expected to be reborn as a user-participatory ecosystem.
He also drew a line regarding other classic IPs, stating there are no plans to terminate their services.
Kang also shared an update on 'KARTRIDER Classic,' which is currently in development. With little information released, including the lack of a teaser video, user curiosity has been mounting; Kang simply replied that "development is underway." He remained cautious about a release date, suggesting that the team is focused on maximizing quality to meet the high expectations of gamers who crave the original 'KARTRIDER' gameplay and nostalgia.
