Lightcore Games announced that it is conducting a special collaboration with ‘The Legend of Genesis II,’ considered the greatest masterpiece in the history of Korean RPGs, in its retro pixel idle mobile RPG, Song of Misongja: Dot Idle RPG.

Released in 1996 The Second Genesis is a monumental work that symbolized 90s gaming culture, selling over 75,000 copies at the time thanks to its grand narrative and solid worldview. This collaboration is a heartfelt tribute to a classic IP that boasts enduring popularity over the years, and was prepared to once again convey the emotion and passion of the past to users. Planned with the core concepts of ‘Recreating the Classic and Pixel Rebuilding,’ this collaboration will run from May 28 to June 11, 2026, and ‘The Black Prince,’ an overwhelmingly popular character from the original game, will join as a collaboration-limited SSR hero. ‘The Black Prince,’ who appears as a playable hero through this update, is the Crown Prince of the Geysir Empire and the strongest being in Antaria; he is a legendary figure possessing both cold charisma and a tragic narrative. Lightcore Games has reinterpreted the Black Prince’s distinctive, weighty charm and iconic ultimate skill, ‘Asura Pacheonmu,’ in a retro pixel art style. Through this, the company aims to evoke deep nostalgia for fans of the original work and provide new users with a visual experience that is both familiar and new. To maximize the character's completeness, top-tier Korean voice actor Choi Han has taken on the role of the Black Prince. Choi Han, well-known for his roles as Zed in League of Legends and Omen in Valorant, has further enhanced the character's narrative through his signature dignified and commanding performance. He perfectly delivers the Black Prince’s famous lines, such as “Is there anyone who objects to my return?” and “Peace is not something to be begged for, but something to be won,” deeply conveying the character’s dignity and tragic nature. Various benefits and content for users will also be provided during the collaboration period. With ‘Glory of the Empire’ as the main theme, attendance rewards, theme challenges, and special collectible content will be released sequentially, and users who complete event missions can obtain limited SSR hero Black Prince character fragments and exclusive collaboration rewards for free. In addition, new dungeon content ‘Trial of the Demon Sword,’ connected to the Genesis War worldview, will be added.
