On the 14th, Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) implemented the '2026 Weapon Overhaul Part 2' update for its popular online FPS game, 'Sudden Attack.' This update focuses on adjusting the performance of key firearms to ensure greater combat variety and balance.

First, the 'TAS' has received buffs in normal mode, including increased damage, improved accuracy, and reduced bullet spread for more stable combat; in compact mode, its movement speed has been increased to enhance mobility. The 'HK416_v2' now features reduced recoil and bullet spread to improve long-range effectiveness, along with an improved first-person field of view and firing animations for greater immersion. Additionally, the stats for the AK series have been refined to better highlight their unique characteristics, and the performance of the 'SCAR_v2' and 'TAC-9' has been adjusted to better balance them against other weapons.
To celebrate the update, a 'Challenge Quest Event' will run until the 28th. Completing quests rewards players with the revamped 'TAS (15 days)' and 'HK416_v2 (15 days)', as well as EXP and Pass Tickets. Completing all quests provides additional rewards, including a '[C]AK-47 Blueprint' and 100k EXP. Furthermore, the 'Pick & Pick' event, where players can choose their desired rewards, and the 'Flea Market Nickname Auction,' which allows players to acquire reset inactive nicknames, will be held until June 4th.
The game's systems and accessibility have also been significantly improved. The classic demolition mission map 'Golden Eye' has returned, and weapon swap slots have been expanded to a maximum of 30. The settings menu has been reorganized into a page-based layout for better usability, and the weapon slot expansion benefit for the Sudden Pass has been increased to 10 slots. Additionally, the 'Sudden Guide' for new and returning players now includes 'Tactical Training,' which allows users to practice in realistic combat scenarios, helping to lower the barrier to entry. Further details can be found on the official 'Sudden Attack' website.
