'GXG 2026 (Game culture X Generation 2026),' an urban game culture festival hosted by Seongnam City and organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the Game Culture Foundation, will be held for two days from September 11 to 12 at the Pangyo Station Square.

Now in its fourth year, GXG 2026 will run under the slogan 'Enjoy Games as Culture!' as a comprehensive gaming event featuring a diverse program of stage performances, exhibitions, interactive experiences, lectures, and networking opportunities. Last year's GXG 2025 attracted approximately 38,000 visitors, cementing its status as the largest urban game culture festival in Korea.
The festival's centerpiece, the game music competition 'The 3rd GXG SOUND TRACK,' will begin accepting applications in early June. The competition is open to anyone who loves games and music, regardless of genre, and has garnered significant attention each year for its original compositions and performances.
Yoo Byung-han, Chairman of the Game Culture Foundation, stated that they are preparing a fresh and enriched experience by enhancing the program's quality based on four years of accumulated expertise, adding that he hopes the event will be a time for citizens to discover the cultural appeal of games. Further details regarding the GXG 2026 event and competition participation will be released sequentially on the official GXG website.
