Smeb on ESPN, Odoamne, crazy support picks, Kled, and more

Since their return from the 2016 League of Legends World Championship as semifinalists, members of the ROX Tigers have been interacting with their fans on AfreecaTV, a Korean streaming platform. Toplaner Kyungho "Smeb" Song was no exception. Collected here are the most interesting tidbits from his Tuesday broadcast.

On His Future

"I won't retire. This is only the beginning. No, wait. I take that back. I've been playing for quite some time - 'this is only the beginning' my ass. But I won't retire."

"Will I leave Korea? I'm not sure. I won't retire, though."

"We're not sure yet if we want to go all-in for the KeSPA Cup or just take it easy."

On His Opponents at Worlds

"H2K Odoamne gave me the wake-up call I needed. I was full of myself and wasn't practicing that hard until he showed me up in scrims. Odoamne was really good. Really, really good. He lit the competitive fire in me again."

"I was confident I could beat any non-Korean toplaner. CuVee and Duke are great players."

"CuVee is the cutest person in the world."

"Hauntzer also surprised me. He was very good."

On ROX at Worlds

"We tried out Galio, Darius, Amumu, Mordekaiser, Karthus, and Miss Fortune as supports. Only Miss Fortune made the cut."

"I got creamed by a Kled in NA solo queue. I sent the player a friend request immediately after the game, and the person responded that he was a pro on a mid-tier NA team. I wanted to play top Kled at Worlds, but I didn't get enough practice. I also found that his ult was less effective in organized play."

"The ESPN article didn't affect us at all because it was complete horseshit. We didn't care."

Miscellaneous

"Shake Shack was the best food I had in America. Shake Shack > In & Out. Best burger ever."

"GorillA was playing solo queue yesterday? What a madman. Wait, he's playing solo queue right now. Holy... what a madman."

"I'll be taking a few days off from LoL. Three, maybe four? Just watching it makes me sick."

Smeb has been streaming intermittently, his last broadcast being a duo queue session with Marin just this morning. You can find his stream here.
