Netmarble has released a new update for its dark fantasy MMORPG Raven2, introducing a limited-time holiday event alongside a permanent guild-versus-guild feature. The update adds the Snowflake Festival event dungeon and launches the Ancient Fortress, a large-scale competitive mode designed for guild play.

The Snowflake Festival is available through Jan. 6, 2026, and centers on a seasonal dungeon called Snowflake Festival Hill. Players can challenge the Gingerbread Man boss and earn a range of event-themed rewards. These include Heroic Holy Garments such as Festival of the Silent Star and Herald of Winter, a Rare Holy Garment titled Temptation of the Holy Night, and a Rare Familiar named Snopon. A separate check-in event tied to the festival allows players to obtain a Heroic Holy Garment Summon Scroll by logging in during the event period.

Ancient Fortress introduces large-scale guild competition

Alongside the holiday content, Netmarble has added Ancient Fortress, a permanent guild-versus-guild feature that expands Raven2’s endgame activities. The mode allows up to 24 guilds within each world to compete across four battlefields, with participation determined through an in-game bidding system.

Guilds can enter the bidding process by using an item called “Invitation from the Lost Kingdom.” Up to four guilds per server will win the bid and gain access to the Ancient Fortress. Once inside, participating guilds battle through the four areas while confronting powerful bosses. The guild that delivers the final blow to the last boss, Protector Parnaq, claims control of the Ancient Fortress and receives a large Crystal reward.

Netmarble said the first Ancient Fortress competition is scheduled for Jan. 10, 2026. In advance of that debut, the developer is running the Ancient Fortress Support Mission event, which offers players opportunities to earn Heroic Crafting Blueprints or Heroic Skill Book Crafting Blueprints.

Raven2 is the sequel to Raven (EvilBane: The Iron King) and continues the franchise’s dark fantasy setting with large-scale multiplayer combat. Players assume the role of a member of a Special Corps tasked with investigating dangerous incidents under royal command, eventually becoming involved in broader conflicts across the game’s world.
