Red Bull Wololo 2026 Takes Over London as Tickets Go On Sale for Eighth Edition: Londinium

Red Bull Wololo is returning in 2026 with what organizers are calling the largest celebration in the event’s history, as the real-time strategy tournament prepares to take over London from April 1–6. Tickets for the Playoffs and Grand Final went on sale Wednesday, coinciding with a citywide promotional rollout themed around Age of Empires.

To mark the announcement, performers dressed as units from the long-running RTS series appeared at several London landmarks, including Leicester Square, Tower Bridge and Hyde Park. The activation featured medieval-style banners, live role-play, and staged interactions designed to spotlight the tournament’s arrival and give passersby a teaser of what’s ahead.

Red Bull Wololo: Londinium will bring together top international competitors in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV. The six-day event continues the legacy of the Red Bull Wololo series, which has grown into one of the most prominent competitive showcases for the franchise.

A Weeklong Celebration of Strategy

The Group Stages will begin April 1 at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch. From there, the tournament will move to the Odeon Luxe Cinema in Leicester Square for the April 4–5 Playoffs. Finalists will then advance to the Grand Final on April 6 at the Royal Albert Hall—marking the first Age of Empires esports finale to feature a live 40-piece orchestra performing the game’s score for an audience of more than 2,500 attendees.

Organizers say the 2026 edition aims to merge esports spectacle with historical ambience, using London’s architecture and cultural landmarks as a thematic backdrop. Competitive players from around the world will compete for a chance to etch their names into Age of Empires history, with the event offering one of the most atmospheric settings the series has seen.

Fans can now purchase tickets for both the Playoffs and Grand Final. All stages of Red Bull Wololo: Londinium will also stream live on Red Bull Gaming’s Twitch and YouTube channels, giving global audiences the chance to follow every match as the tournament unfolds.
