NEXUS is preparing to debut CROSS Shop, a new web-based storefront designed to offer in-game items and packages for titles operating within the CROSS ecosystem. The move marks the company’s latest step toward reducing reliance on traditional app-market payment systems and the fees associated with those platforms.
According to an announcement on the official CROSS channel, the first title to implement the new storefront will be Rohan 2 Global, a globally serviced MMORPG. Players will be able to access CROSS Shop through a web browser, where they can purchase in-game goods directly rather than through mobile or platform-specific marketplaces.
The company said this approach is intended to lower payment-processing costs by removing the need for platform-dependent transactions, which often involve additional service fees. Many publishers and developers have been exploring similar alternatives in recent years as part of a broader push to reduce third-party distribution expenses and maintain greater control over their monetization pipelines.
Expanded Payment Options and Future Rollout
As part of the launch, CROSS Shop will include Binance Pay integration, allowing players in supported regions to use the global payment service operated by Binance. The option is expected to expand accessibility for international users and streamline the checkout process for players already familiar with cryptocurrency-based payment solutions.
NEXUS stated that Binance Pay will exist alongside more traditional payment methods, with the goal of ensuring a smoother purchasing experience across different markets.
Following the introduction of CROSS Shop for Rohan 2 Global, NEXUS plans to roll out the storefront to additional titles within the CROSS ecosystem. While the company did not announce which games will join next or provide a specific timeline, it confirmed that broader implementation is part of its long-term strategy.
CROSS Shop’s debut positions NEXUS among a growing number of publishers experimenting with external web shops to reduce platform fees and offer more flexible payment options. As digital storefront models continue to evolve, the rollout of CROSS Shop may signal further shifts in how companies handle in-game monetization outside major app marketplaces.
