NEXUS Invests in Japan-Based Rhythm Game Studio ENTIENT: “Pioneering a New Paradigm for AI-Blockchain Games”

NEXUS, led by CEO Henry Chang, has announced a strategic investment in ENTIENT, a
rhythm game development studio based in Japan, further expanding the game portfolio of its
blockchain gaming platform CROSS.

ENTIENT was founded in October 2024 by Keiichi Yano, a renowned game designer best
known for directing Nintendo’s “Ouendan” series, which alone has sold over 5.3 million
copies worldwide, and Microsoft’s “Lips.” More recently, Yano established a token-issuing
foundation named VAi and is now focused on integrating generative AI and blockchain
technologies into game development.

ENTIENT’s upcoming title, SHOUT!, is a rhythm action game that combines fast-paced
gameplay, idol character progression, and user-generated content (UGC) powered by
generative AI. The game will be published by VAi and onboarded onto the CROSS
blockchain gaming platform.

“ENTIENT possesses world-class capabilities in rhythm game development,” said Henry
Chang, CEO of NEXUS. “By integrating generative AI and next-generation blockchain
technologies into a high-quality game, we aim to set a new standard in gameplay design.”

In parallel with its investment, NEXUS is accelerating the infrastructure buildout for an AI-
powered blockchain gaming ecosystem. On May 22, Chang announced via X (formerly
Twitter) a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Aethir, a leading
decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure provider and major project in the DePIN space.

Through this partnership, NEXUS plans to:

- Provide CROSS developers with access to Aethir’s decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure
- Explore the formation of a joint investment fund for AAA-grade AI-powered games
- Expand a development environment for AI-blockchain convergence

“This collaboration brings us one step closer to realizing the future of gaming, where AI
meets blockchain,” said Chang.

Additionally, NEXUS has also signed a joint publishing agreement for the global blockchain
version of the MMORPG Rohan 2, and is strengthening its partnerships with key institutions
in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to further accelerate its global blockchain gaming strategy.
