Netmarble has rolled out a substantial update for its action title Solo Leveling: ARISE in celebration of the game’s one-year anniversary. The update introduces new playable content, story chapters and timed events, extending play opportunities through early July.
A water-type SSR hunter, Cha Hae-In, joins the roster. In her native timeline she leads the Valkyrie Guild, wielding a radiant blade that cleaves the skies and unleashing a barrage of celestial swords across the battlefield. Alongside her, players can explore fresh story missions, including a Knights Guild raid in Busan and a dungeon breach at Sung Jinah’s school.
Challenge modes gain two formidable foes: Yogumunt, the Monarch of Transfiguration, awaits in the Distorted Sanctuary’s Workshop of Brilliant Light stage, while the Ant King appears in the revamped Instance Dungeon. To accommodate higher-level play, the cap on Sung Jinwoo has been raised to level 110, and a new job change tier—Monarch of Shadows: Dawn Sentinel—becomes accessible. The update also adds nine Blessing Stones for character enhancement.
Timed anniversary events run through July 3. A daily check-in rewards include a Transcendent Blessing Stone Selection Chest, an SSR Hunter Selection Ticket, an SSR Hunter Weapon Selection Ticket and more. Participants earn points in the Mission Challenge to redeem up to 100 Custom Draw Tickets. In the Dice Exploration Event, users roll dice earned via missions to win items such as an SSR Sung Jinwoo Weapon Selection Ticket.
A subsequent limited-time daily mission series launches May 26 and runs to June 12, offering the Pixiv Competition–winning “Eleventh Hour Blade” costume for Sung Jinwoo upon completion. Should pre-registrations top one million, all entrants will receive 10 Custom Draw Tickets, with additional hidden gifts delivered via in-game mail. Solo Leveling: ARISE adapts the popular webtoon into an interactive experience, allowing players to relive Jinwoo’s journey, customize combat through skill and weapon choices and summon an “Army of Shadows.”
