FearX faced DRX in the 2024 LCK Spring Split match held on Jan. 26. It was a close match as the two teams fought through game 3, where FearX emerged victorious. In the match, Lee “Clozer” Joo-hyeon had a great performance and was voted as Player of the Game in both of their wins. After the match, he joined Yoon Soo-bin for a brief interview.

How do you feel about today’s win?

It wasn’t that many games, but it was tiring. I really wished that we won, and it’s a relief that we did. 

You picked Azir often this season, but today, in game 1, you picked Akali into Azir. What did you think when the opponent didn’t ban Akali?

I thought they would ban Akali in the second ban phase, but I felt good because they didn’t.

Your Akali was great. How did you catch the kill in the 1v2 situation against Azir and Maokai in the bot lane?

Looking at the situation, I decided that Maokai couldn’t cover Azir, and I thought I could kill Azir no matter what if I went in with my ult.

You won that game against Azir, but in game 2, you played Azir and lost. Currently, Azir is on a 7-game losing streak in the LCK. Why do you think this is happening?

There are many champions that can deal with Azir, and it’s difficult to deal with that situation.

FearX picked the Yasuo-Gragas comp in game 3. Did you appeal that you wanted to play it during the draft?

Before we came to today’s match, we talked about fighting often, and we were confident. As soon as we saw their draft, we thought it was a perfect time to play Yasuo-Gragas.

Although you got the POG, the votes were divided. Who would you pick as POG for game 3?

I want to pick Hena. Hena was steady in all three games today and played extremely well. It would have been better if we both were voted, but I got it. I’m grateful that he did so well.

What would you like to improve moving forward?

It’s still early in the stage, so our teamwork is still creaky, but we’re working slowly but steadily to make it perfect. We’re working hard, so please have faith in us. We’ll do well in the next match too.
