In the quarterfinals at the 2023 LoL World Championship, T1 kept LCK’s hopes up as the last remaining team from the LCK. In a highly anticipated match, T1 defeated LNG Esports 3-0. With a great performance from all players, T1 put up great fights and strategies. Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon also had an exceptional performance, and he sat with Inven after the match for an interview.

You succeeded in reaching the semifinals through a 3-0 win. How do you feel?

I did think we would win, but I didn’t expect 3-0. It was my first time facing Tarzan, and I’m satisfied that I played well against him.

T1 secured dragons extremely well today.

We thought securing dragons was key to the series, and we had strong picks in the bot lane, so we were able to take them well.

As Gen.G and KT were eliminated, T1 has become LCK’s last home. Was there any pressure?

We didn’t feel any pressure from being the last team remaining.

How do you think the semifinals would go?

Speaking of Weibo Gaming vs. Bilibili Gaming, I think BLG is better, so they’ll win 3-1. As for us vs. JD Gaming, I think we’ll win 3-1 as well.

Why do you think T1’s strong against the LPL?

I’m not sure, but I believe our style has an advantage against LPL.

You’ll be facing Kanavi again. You met him last year at Worlds. How do you think it’ll go?

To pick the best jungler, it’s definitely Kanavi. Unfortunately, I have to face him in the semifinals, but since I beat him last year, I’ll do my best to show a good performance.

The mid-jungle performance in you and Faker was really great today.

I can’t say we played our best, but I do feel that we did pretty well.
