ESL Pro League was introduced in early November 2014 by the German-based Electronic Sports League. Reasons for Our Excitement Over ESL Pro League Season 16

The tournament is divided into three (3) stages, and each one is equally exhausting. They are; Partner Teams, ESL Ranking & EPL 16 Conference.

ESL Pro League Season 16 Compared to Other Seasons

EPL season 15 was held in 2021, acting as a transitional season with a prize pool of $823,000. League Season 16 is now the biggest CS: GO League, and each team will be given the chance to shine at the DreamHack Summer 2022.

 

The ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference is Still On

The Conference, which is a new stage, starts on the 16th of June and ends on the 20th.

 

Contesting teams have a total prize pool of $27,000 to share. Furthermore, the number of participating teams in the Conference is 16. In total, there are six qualifying slots for the ESL Pro League Season 16.

The location has been changed from Sweden (Season 15) to Malta in ESL Season 16. So, the competition will definitely be stiff. Also, the entire season is being hosted offline.

The number of teams participating in Season 16 has been reduced from 32 to 24. This league is also open to every individual who has the necessary skills and dedication to participate.

Team Liquid and TakeTV have officially joined the ESL pro league, Shopify and Intel were introduced as one of the key sponsors of the ESL pro Tour for starcraft 2, and there are changes in the competition tactics and seeding steps.

 

Compared to ESL Pro League Season 15

Season 15 was the first season to feature the new conference stage in the tournament. The EPL season 15 conference was also held online. The participants in Season 15 were GODSENT, Sprout, Extra Salt, LDLC, Movistar, EF, Anonymo, MAD Lions, Renegades, and Sharks. Also, the champion of the ESL Pro League Season 15 was Fnatic.

The new maps for the ESL Pro League 16 are Dust2, Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Overpass, Vertigo, and Ancient.

 

ESL Challenger

Likewise, about sixteen teams will gain their spot in the ESL Pro league through the ESL challenger competitions.
