Lost Ark closed beta begins with upswell of community hype

The Free-to-play MMORPG Lost Ark developed by Smilegate RPG and Amazon Games launched the closed beta today on November 4th. The game has already been available in Korea, Japan and Russia and those millions of active players have few complaints. The games high fantasy story and aesthetic are right at home to western audiences, though the stickiness factor copious demon-slaying and fast PvP are undeniable

As precious closed beta keys are sent en-mass to early supporters and community streamers, thousands more are being then raffled away all across social media and live twitch streams. While the familiar hype and buzz cycle of any new release is to be expected, the smooth gameplay and polished release of the Lost Ark Beta are allowing gamers to enjoy exploring the world without too much stress.

And by stress, I mainly refer to the incredible wait times associated with any first-day MMORPG release. At this point, fans of the genre shouldn't be surprised by incredibly long early queue times. Let's just be happy the queue is consistent!

One of the game's most positively received elements is the 15 different hero classes. Each in their own right provides players with deep combat and personal ability configuration opportunities that feel right at home to 3rd-person-perspective RPG aficionados.
