Chapter 1. Basics

A skill add-on is an additional effect given to your primary skill to make it stronger. You can easily add the skill add-ons by talking to the Skill Instructors in each town. Choose the Skill Add-on option, choose the skill you want to add, and lastly, choose two add-ons you like.

You have to be at least level 50 to use skill add-ons. You will be able to choose one add-on at level 50, one additional add-on at 52, 54, and so on. (6 add-ons in total) You will choose pre-Awakening skill add-ons at levels 50, 52, 54, and Awakening skill add-ons at levels 56, 58, 60.

Chapter 2. Pre-Awakening/Sword & Shield Skill Add-ons

[Deep Thrust] Frequency of usage: low (PvP>PvE)

AP against Monsters increases by 20 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 5 for 5 seconds
Accuracy increases by 3% for 12 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 4% for 7 seconds
Opponent receives 42 bleed damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds
Opponent’s MP/WP/SP decrease by 20

This skill is neither effective in lifesteal nor damage dealing. It’s sometimes used as a combo after Charging Thrust or to start a combo.

[Spinning Slash] Frequency of usage: medium (PvE>PvP)

Evasion increases by 3% for 10 seconds
Accuracy increases by 3% for 12 seconds
Movement Speed increases by 4% for 10 seconds
Opponent receives 50 burn damage every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
Regenerates 3 MP/WP/SP per hit
Stuns opponents (3% chance)

One of the main pre-Awakening DPS skills. Warriors don’t have any skills that regenerate WP, so a lot of people choose this add on. Effective in both PvP and PvE.

[Ground Smash] Frequency of usage: medium (PvE>PvP)

Attack Speed increases by 4% for 5 seconds
Movement Speed increases by 7% for 10 seconds
Opponent receives 40 poison damage every 3 seconds for 18 seconds
Regenerates 30 HP per hit
Regenerates 30 MP/WP/SP per hit
Decreases opponent’s MP/WP/SP by 15 every 3 seconds for 15 seconds

Frequently used in both PvP and PvE. You can instantly regenerate HP and WP and deal damage right after grabbing your enemy. It also has a decent AoE.

[Chopping Kick] Frequency of usage: medium (PvE>PvP)

AP against Monsters increases by 20 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 5 for 5 seconds
Accuracy increases by 3% for 12 seconds
Attack Speed increases by 4% for 5 seconds
Movement Speed increases by 4% for 10 seconds
Air Smash (15% chance)

This skill is good for canceling after Spinning Slash or Scars of Dusk, and also good for giving yourself different buffs. Choose [Attack Speed increases by 4%] if you have not awakened yet, and change that add-on to something else after you have awakened.

[Piercing Spear] Frequency of usage: high (PvP>PvE)

Critical hit rate increases by 10% for 9 seconds
Movement Speed increases by 4% for 10 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 4% for 7 seconds
Opponent receives 54 pain damage every 3 seconds for 12 seconds
Regenerates 20 MP/WP/SP per hit
Decreases opponent’s MP/WP/SP by 20

One of the two poking skills that the Warrior has. You can stun an enemy with this ranged skill, which allows you to start a combo easily with the buffs.

[Ground Roar] Frequency of usage: high (PvE>PvP)

AP against Monsters increases by 20 for 8 seconds
Evasion increases by 3% for 10 seconds
Opponent’s Attack Speed decreases by 4% for 7 seconds
Opponent’s Casting Speed decreases by 4% for 7 seconds
Opponent’s MP/WP/SP decreases by 7 every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
Regenerates 10 HP per hit

An effective buff & lifesteal skill. You can also pull monsters toward you from a distance.

[Shield Charge] Frequency of usage: medium (PvP>PvE)

AP against Monsters increases by 20 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 10 for 5 seconds
DP increases by 15 for 10 seconds
Attack Speed increases by 4% for 5 seconds
Opponent’s Attack Speed decreases by 7% for 7 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 7% for 7 seconds

If you use this skill in PvE, you will be able to guard while moving quickly. If you use it in PvP, you can either buff yourself or debuff your enemies. This skill has high mobility, so you can either approach or move away from an enemy using this skill.

[Upper Shield Strike] Frequency of usage: low (PvP>PvE)

DP increases by 10 for 10 seconds
Accuracy increases by 4% for 12 seconds
Attack Speed increases by 4% for 5 seconds
Opponent receives 45 pain damage every 3 seconds for 12 seconds
Regenerates 20 HP per hit
Regenerates 10 MP/WP/SP per hit

A skill similar to Shield Charge. It’s mainly used in PvP for mobility and its Attack Speed buff.

Chapter 3. Awakening/Great sword Skill Add-ons

[Flow: Overwhelm] Frequency of usage: low (PvP>PvE)

AP against Monsters increases by 25 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 10 for 5 seconds
Accuracy increases by 4% for 12 seconds
Movement Speed increases by 7% for 10 seconds
Opponent’s Attack Speed decreases by 7% for 7 seconds
Air Smash (15% chance)

You can use this skill from the skill shortcuts or by pressing the Spacebar immediately after Solar Flare for additional hits. It’s easy to initiate a combo on your enemy if you knock-up the enemy using this skill. However, it’s not widely used in PvE since there are more effective DPS skills.

[Flow: Armor Break]
Frequency of usage: low (PvE>PvP)

AP against Monsters increases by 20 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 5 for 5 seconds
Critical Hit Rate increases by 20% for 9 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 10% for 7 seconds
Opponent receives 50 bleed damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds
Regenerates 30 MP/WP/SP per hit

Not frequently used in the current metagame.

[Flow: Reckless Blow]
Frequency of usage: high (PvP>PvE)

AP against Monsters increases by 30 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 15 for 5 seconds
DP increases by 20 for 10 seconds
Critical hit rate increases by 20% for 9 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 10% for 7 seconds
Regenerates 30 HP per hit

Not as frequently used as before due to a nerf, but still one of the Warrior’s strongest DPS skills. It also comes with effective buffs. You can deal massive damage if you use this skill with Executioner.

[Merciless] Frequency of usage: low (PvE>PvP)

AP against Monsters increases by 25 for 8 seconds
Accuracy increases by 5% for 12 seconds
Attack Speed increases by 7% for 5 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 7% for 7 seconds
Opponent receives 60 burn damage every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
Opponent’s MP/WP/SP decreases by 21 every 3 seconds for 9 seconds

A good skill to replace Armor Break in PvE. Use this skill to deal damage while Grave Digging, Reckless Blow, and Slashing the Dead are on cooldown. It also has a wide AoE and a useful buff.

[Solar Flare] Frequency of usage: high (PvP>PvE)

DP increases by 20 for 10 seconds
Accuracy increases by 5% for 12 seconds
Critical hit rate increases by 20% for 9 seconds
Attack Speed increases by 10% for 5 seconds
Opponent’s Attack Speed decreases by 7% for 7 seconds
Opponent’s Movement Speed decreases by 10% for 7 seconds

One of the best skills that the Warrior has. With its high mobility and effective buffs, you can deal massive damage while taking only little damage. It also deals bleed damage and burn damage

[Grave Digging]
Frequency of usage: high (PvP=PvE)

AP against Monsters increases by 30 for 8 seconds
AP against Players increases by 15 for 5 seconds
Critical hit rate increases by 20% for 9 seconds
Opponent receives 63 pain damage every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
Regenerates 30 HP per hit
Opponent’s MP/WP/SP decreases by 30

Warrior’s primary DPS skill. It can deal massive damage to enemies while also debuffing them. The buffs that come from this skill are also very effective. The long cooldown time is the only downside. Strongly recommended right after Awakening, and frequently used in both PvP and PvE.

[Pulverize] Frequency of usage: low (PvP=PvE)

Critical hit rate increases by 20% for 9 seconds
Attack Speed increases by 10% for 5 seconds
Opponent’s Attack Speed decreases by 7% for 7 seconds
Opponent receives 50 bleed damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds
Regenerates 30 MP/WP/SP per hit
Opponent’s MP/WP/SP decreases by 20

Forward Guard is activated when you use this skill, so it’s easy for you to maintain your combo. Using this skill after Flow: Tempest makes a great lifesteal combo.

Chapter 4. Things to keep in mind

Below are the things you should keep in mind before you choose your skill add-ons.

1. You have to hit your target at least once with the skill to activate the associated buffs/debuffs. For example, Flow: Reckless Blow has 3 hits maximum. The first hit won’t have any buffs, but the second and the third hit will have the buffs.

2. DoT options are not recommended, except for pain and poison damage. Pulverize already inflicts burn and bleed damage.
The buffs from skill add-ons do not stack. The buff with a stronger effect will always write over the weaker one.

3. The DP buffs from skill add-ons will overlap with the DP buffs from Great Sword Defense or Guard.

4. Accuracy options are not strongly recommended since Great Sword skills already have high Accuracy. Other buffs like Movement Speed, lifesteal, and Attack Speed are usually prefered over Critical hit rate.

5. Critical hit rate options are also not strongly recommended since the Warrior’s skills already have a high Critical hit rate, except for Pulverize.

6. Skill add-ons will not activate when you are using Black Spirit’s Rage. However, if you use Solar Flare at 99% Black Spirit’s Rage, the add-on will be activated as Black Spirit’s Rage reaches 100%. In this case, you can use the skill with Black Spirit’s Rage and the add-on buffs.

Chapter 5. Priority Add-ons

For PvP:
AP against Players, Attack Speed buff, pain damage, Accuracy buff, Movement Speed buff, and Movement Speed debuff. (in order from highly recommended to not recommended)

For PvE:
AP against Monsters, Lifesteal, Attack Speed, pain damage, and the rest. (in order from highly recommended to not recommended)

Warrior is an exceptionally guarded class from the get-go, bearing a Longsword in one hand, and a shield in the other. Exceptionally exhausting from the outset, numerous abilities actually make you activity bolted. This class needs versatility, for the expense of astonishing guarded abilities. In the wake of traversing the exhausting part, and arriving at Awakening, you will get a Greatsword. https://mmoauctions.com/news/black-desert-online-warrior-guide We accept that in the wake of perusing this BDO Warrior Guide you will have the option to play all the more viably.
