Raven Software announces Diehard, Rambo-inspired map changes for Warzone

Warzone's primary map Verdansk is getting some 1980's themed points on interest this week. On Thursday, Raven Software will be adding Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard, as well as a Rambo-inspired CIA Outpost and survival camps. All the new changes were teased in the Season 3 90's Action Heroes trailer and roadmap published on Tuesday.

Nagatomi Plaza will replace the current skyscraper in downtown Verdansk. The building is a direct reference to the location where Die Hard took place, and will reportedly feature some familiar floor layouts for fans of the movie.

"The headquarters of the Nakatomi Corporation have moved from sunny Los Angeles to Verdansk’s Downtown for a limited time," wrote Raven software in Tuesday's blog. "This is the tallest single structure seen in Warzone and includes five floors of a space that will be familiar to those who know and love the original Die Hard."

Players will be able to carry out optional missions related to the tower during both the BR and Plunder modes, including "exploring the tower for Supply Boxes, defusing C4 on the tower’s roof, and interrupting an arms deal gone wrong."

The new survival camps are also a reference to a 1980's action film, in this case, Rambo: First Blood Part ll. There will be ten survival camps in total that will let you collect both high-level loot and dog tags of fallen comrades. Raven Software has promised an "even greater reward" for those who collect enough dog tags. In a second reference to Rambo films, players turn in those dog tags at a converted CIA Outpost dedicated to tracking down Rambo himself.

All the new changes to the map are set to arrive on Thursday, May 20th.
