WoW Burning Crusade Classic launches June 1

The Dark Portal Reopens... in just under a month. World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic has a release date of Jun. 1, Blizzard confirmed Thursday.

The Classic expansion will take players back to Outland, where some of the most iconic characters in the Warcraft universe await, from Kael'Thas to Illidan, as adventurers race to reach level 70 and gain entry into the iconic raids of WoW's first-ever expansion.

WoW Classic was one of the marquee gaming events of 2019, as it launched after a relentless campaign from the fans — a demand which Blizzard themselves chose to ignore for years. Even though its gameplay would be considered outdated by most contemporary standards (after all, World of Warcraft launched in 2004), the nostalgia of these times got millions of players to play the game or watch it on Twitch. WoW Classic even won Game of the Year in the 2019 Golden Joystick Awards.

Burning Crusade is likely to do the same, although the excitement around Classic now is nowhere near its peaks in 2019. And if you're wondering, "Well, what classes were even good back then" or "What should I play", Inven Global already has you covered with your WoW TBC Classic class tier list.
