If you were one of the lucky ones to snag a PS5, you may be swinging your way through Brooklyn as Miles Morales. For the rest of us, you may be sobbing into a bag of Kimchi-seasoned chicharrón, watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and refreshing Wario64’s Twitter feed. Now, there’s a better—and less sad—way to get your Miles Morales fix, the Team Liquid x Miles Morales long sleeve jersey.
The Miles Morales jersey is black, with a subtle red webbing. Bright red accents add crispness to the shoulders and collar, while Miles’ tagging is given a nod through grunge-like stripes. Wider sleeves and a looser fit grant a streetwear vibe to the polyester fit, a new silhouette for Team Liquid’s line of jerseys. Customization is also available to customers, allowing for a Gamertag to be added to the back, as well as Standard, LCS, or DOTA team specification.
“We’re incredibly excited to debut this collaboration between Liquid Apparel and one of Marvel’s most popular heroes,” said Damian Estrada, Creative Director at Team Liquid. “Miles Morales is a comic book icon with an appeal that transcends the boundaries of gaming, esports, geek culture, and mainstream popularity. As a character, Miles is living proof that a hero can be found inside each of us, regardless of background or roots.”
Team Liquid has previously partnered with Marvel to release some incredible mech over the past year and a half. Their initial drop featured a series of Avengers-inspired jerseys as well as a capsule of Spider-Man x Liquid designs featuring work from Chilean artist Felipe Magaña. The partnership was recently announced as extended, allowing Liquid to create co-branded merchandise through 2022.
“Come 2021, keep an eye out for more fantastic LIQUID x MARVEL apparel as we explore the extended Marvel library together,” concluded Estrada.
If you plan on grabbing this look (for yourself or a holiday gift), you can order it now from the Team Liquid Store. Need to pair it with something? Adidas has some kicks for that. Want something completely different? Perhaps these retro looks are your jam.
