Mirroring the LCK Summer Finals, DAMWON Gaming swept DRX 3-0 in the 2020 League of Legends World Championship quarterfinals. The LCK champions are now one step closer to fulfilling the promise of bringing back the World Champion title to the South Korean region.

DAMWON currently holds an eight-game win streak over DRX. Both teams have played all three matches with extreme caution, making the first couple of games very slow-paced and action deprived. The first game of the series had one of the lowest death counts of Worlds 2020 so far, with 12 kills in total.

According to Aaron “Medic” Chamberlain, there were more kills in the first G2 Esports vs Suning game than in the first two games witnessed today, with a total of 40 versus 31.

Moving on to the semifinals, DAMWON Gaming will be facing the winner between Gen.G and G2 Esports, who will be competing in a best-of-5 series on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 12 p.m. CEST / 3 a.m. PT.
