Season 3 of Overwatch Competitive Play is ending soon

On February 15 (PST), Blizzard announced the end date for Season 3 of Competitive Play as well as scheduling for Season 4 on its official forum.

The ongoing Season 3 will end on Tuesday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m. PST, and Season 4 is planned to start on February 28 at 4:00 p.m. PST. Players who have completed their placement matches will receive seasonal sprays and player icons, along with corresponding Competitive Points based on the highest Skill Rating reached for the season.

Additionally, the most exceptional players, who secured their place in the top 500 in Competitive at least once, will also receive animated sprays on top of the normal rewards.

The upcoming Season 4 is expected to see a shift in the metagame. Since the PTR balance patch, Bastion is looking to be a replacement hero for Soldier: 76, whereas Roadhog, who used to be one of the season’s favorites, is struggling in the wake of his hook nerf. As a result, other offense heroes may see more play in ranked or tournament settings.
