Golden Guardians has secured the final qualifying spot in the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Playoffs. GG triumphed over Dignitas in its 19th and final match of the season in a tie-breaker to secure sixth place at 9-11, and with it, the 6th seed in the post-season.

The match between GG and DIG was deadlocked all the way up until 32 minutes, and even with a slight gold lead swaying in either team's favor for the next five or so, the crucial play came near the Baron Nashor. GG managed to pick off two of DIG's members in a dance around the Baron pit, and secured the major buff which gave the team all it needed to end the game and destroy the Dignitas nexus.

Golden Guardians, Immortals, and Dignitas entered the day tied for sixth place with 8-10 records. Due to head-to-head records, Dignitas played against IMT first and won its third match in a row despite entering week 9 of the LCS Spring Split with a 1-6 record in the second half.

Dignitas matched Golden Guardians blow-for-blow for the majority of the game, but in the end, the Golden State Warriors affiliate prevailed and punched its post-season ticket. Golden Guardians now holds the sixth seed for the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs and will be seeded into the lower bracket with fifth seed TSM.
