Urgot is getting a new skin for April Fools' Day 2020. The Dreadnought will get his own skin in the Pajama Guardian line, a cute and cozy variant of the ever-popular Star Guardian skin line. The official League of Legends Twitter account made the announcement on the morning of March 23rd, complete with a video showcasing Urgot's abilities and animations in his new Pajama Guardian digs.
League of Legends has made a tradition out of releasing silly skins on April 1st. In 2019, the April Fools' event featured a 'Cats vs. Dogs' theme that was punctuated by Fuzz Fizz, a dog-themed skin for the Tidal Trickster, complete with a Prestige Edition.
Pajama Guardian Urgot is also a nod to the years upon years of requests from the League of Legends community for a Star Guardian Urgot skin. Even before his rework, Urgot's lack of quantity in skins, as well as the contrast of his undulating form to the Star Guardian skin line's anime-esque aesthetic, led to numerous requests in the weeks leading up to several of the past April Fools' events.
Urgot mains and Star Guardian enthusiasts can rejoice knowing that the Dreadnought will hit the Rift in the comfiest of celestial threads on April 1, 2020.
