Riot Games Korea (Riot Korea) announced that amidst the growing epidemic of the Corona19, in order to ensure the safety of the people related to the LCK and to prevent the Corona19 from spreading, the 2020 LCK Spring will be going on an indefinite hiatus after the end of Round 1.
With this move by Riot Korea, the 2020 LCK Spring and the 2020 LoL Challengers Korea will be going on hiatus after Round 1 ends on the 6th (KST), and LCK’s own weekly Sunday talk show, ‘Sunday Night LCK (SNL)’, will also be going on hiatus alongside the league. LCK is scheduled to return after the Corona19 epidemic dies down domestically.
Riot Korea commented, “Due to the on-growing Corona19 epidemic, in order to ensure the safety of the members of the league, we have decided to have the LCK and Challengers Korea go on an indefinite hiatus. Currently, we do not have a set return date, and will keep a close eye on the epidemic to choose the appropriate date of return.”
