The return of Konstantinos-Napoleon "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou to the League of Legends stage was celebrated at the start of the year. However, after just three weeks into the League of Legends European Championship, the Greek veteran is stepping down from the Schalke 04 esports roster.

In a Tweet, FORG1VEN refers to Schalke 04's abysmal start to the LEC—they've lost every single game so far. "In my 7+ LoL career I always played to win and be competitive," FORGIVEN writes. He continues: "As of now at least, [the] current roster doesn't fit this principle. Schalke is unable/unwilling to make changes to fit that goal, so we mutually agreed that I step down until and if they are willing to do so."

Last week Schalke 04 made the announcement that they were swapping junglers, bringing in Lukas "Lurox" Thoma for Erberk "Gilius" Demir. On Twitter, Schalke 04 announced their replacement for FORG1VEN: Nihat "Innaxe" Aliev.
