LCK teams had to find alternate routes to keep fans and players united amid coronavirus quarantine. Teams like Afreeca Freecs and T1 announced on their social channels about the online fan meets since the LCK has rolled out with no audience due to the risks of spreading the virus.

Earlier this split, Riot Games determined that the preventive measures were necessary to protect the health and safety of the athletes, audience and staff. The LCK has entered its second week and so far there has been no lift on the “audience ban”.

Following today’s game where T1 2-0 KT Rolster, the meet and greet was held online, through a YouTube livestream. Fans got to chill with their favorite players as they talked about the day’s match and showed a more casual side. In-person meetings vary on a case-by-case basis, depending on the team hosting.

Some teams, like T1, will give fans a limited number of waiting tables in advance before the start of the game. Fans receive a bracelet with their fan meeting and a queue number written on it. The total time limit for the fan meeting is 30 minutes After the games and press interviews, they have a fan meeting for the selected fans.

Each team is communicating with their audience through their own means. Afreeca Freecs usually gathers questions from fans and do the online meet after the press interviews in their own platform, Afreeca TV. SandBox Gaming uses Instagram live. T1 LoL manager and analyst Hajin Sun announced on Twitter that there would be a surprise meet and greet today, to ensure fans knew where to find the players. You can check it below:
