T1 Cuzz: "Teddy is spectacular at dealing damage. He’s very trustworthy and reliable."

On the 5th (KST), the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split started with the clash between T1 and DAMWON Gaming where T1 won 2-1. T1’s jungler Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan played Gragas in all three games and contributed to the team’s victory. After the match, Cuzz joined Inven for an interview.

Today’s win was the first LCK win since you joined T1. How do you feel?

DAMWON Gaming had played together for a long time, so I was worried, but I was relieved that we won. If a team wins the first match, they build momentum, so I’ll be concentrating to win the next match as well.

Because of the coronavirus, today’s match was held without spectators. Was it awkward?

For me, I got less nervous and it was alright. Usually, we can hear the crowd roaring, but since there was nothing like that, it wasn’t difficult to keep focused.

How was the feedback after Game 1?

Our coaching staff discussed what we didn’t do well quickly and we modified the way we drafted.

DAMWON banned Rek’Sai and Elise. How did you feel watching that?

I was proud since it felt that they were conscious of me. I think it’s good since we can use up their bans.

In Game 3, mid and top swapped lanes. Did it feel different from usual?

Faker has a lot of experience and Roach used to play mid as well, so it wasn’t much different. They both did really well.

It seems that in this meta, long games will occur frequently. The team would rely on Teddy a lot.

Teddy is spectacular at dealing damage. He’s very trustworthy and reliable.

T1’s parody on the movie “Parasite” went viral. Do you like what you did?

I acted Cho Yeo-jeong's role, a female character. I had really enjoyed the movie, so I think it wasn’t bad. I don’t think I acted very well, though… I wonder how it would have been if my wig was longer or the quality was better.

We heard that Lee Young-pyo, former soccer player visited T1. What did he talk about?

I didn’t have a mentor before. Lee Young-pyo came and talked about how he lived as a professional athlete and the mindset as a professional player. It was really enlightening since he spoke out of his long career and it helped a lot to manage my mentality. If someone asks me who my role model is, I think I would say Lee Young-pyo.

Your next match is against Hanwha Life Esports. How are your plans?

It feels that Hanwha Life Esports plays the newest meta. We’ll also prepare well and make sure that we win.
