It was the culmination of a storybook run for DK, who fought their way to the top by taking down powerhouse teams like BLG and Gen.G as the underdogs.

Karmine Corp's Yike secured the first kill of the game by ganking top lane to take down Siwoo's Tristana. Dplus KIA responded by taking down Yike's Lee Sin and Canna's Vayne, and in subsequent skirmishes, Smash's Kai'Sa continued to pick up kills and grow. Dplus KIA, clearly ahead in objective control—including Dragons and Baron—solidified their lead by winning a mid teamfight, securing another Baron, and ultimately defeating Karmine Corp to take the first game.

In the second set, while the skirmishes were evenly matched, DK gradually seized control by maintaining a slight edge in the laning phase. KC attempted to turn the tide through teamfights, but DK responded with calm and composure. After picking off three of KC's top-side players, DK secured the Baron. They safely maintained their momentum, destroying KC's Nexus at 33 minutes and leaving them just one win away from the title.

In the final third set, Dplus KIA's momentum was fierce. Lucid's Xin Zhao got off to a smooth start by targeting the bottom lane for two kills, and ShowMaker's Ryze even joined in the enemy jungle to pick up another. Smash's Sivir then won a 1v1 against the opposing ADC in the bottom lane. Even in a situation that could have been overly exciting, Dplus KIA remained calm.

Instead, they exploited KC's growing desperation to play a safe, controlled game, methodically securing objectives to set themselves up for the late game. After reaching three Dragon stacks and taking the Baron, DK held a lead of over 10k gold by the 24-minute mark. With the power gap insurmountable, they crushed their opponents and destroyed KC's Nexus to complete the 3-0 sweep, becoming the EWC 2026 Champions.
