Clouded Leopard Entertainment Inc. (CEO Yuen-Yuen Chen) has announced that the Korean version (including Traditional and Simplified Chinese) of 'Trails in the Sky the 2nd'—the second full remake following Nihon Falcom's iconic story RPG 'Trails in the Sky the 1st'—will be officially released on September 17, 2026. The title will be available simultaneously to fans worldwide across various platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
This new installment introduces 'Brave Rush,' a new feature designed to enhance the strategic depth of Quick Battles. By consuming two Brave Gauges during combat, players can unleash powerful coordinated attacks between their controlled character and an ally. As a special attack capable of dealing devastating damage over a wide area, Brave Rush can be combined with standard attacks, jumps, dodges, and unique character Crafts to enable more diverse tactical gameplay.
A new system that increases the difficulty of battles against formidable foes has also been revealed. An upgraded version of 'Rage Boost'—a skill exclusive to the Enforcers of the society Ouroboros—has been added to heighten the tension. When activated, the skill triggers unique character animations and alters the appearance of the battlefield; it also lasts longer than a standard boost, putting increased pressure on the player.
Furthermore, the 'Rage Boost' mode used by certain boss-level monsters grants powerful simultaneous buffs, including guaranteed hits, halved stun duration, and the ability to steal bonuses. Given its ability to instantly turn the tide of battle, players will need to develop sophisticated strategies to counter this state. Character information and detailed specifications for 'Trails in the Sky the 2nd' will be released sequentially via the official website.
