PUBG MOBILE is joining forces with Techland’s newly released Dying Light: The Beast in a limited-time crossover event that brings zombies, new gameplay modes, and exclusive rewards to the popular battle royale title. Running from today through November 4, the collaboration lets players battle infected foes, unlock Beast Mode, and earn crossover cosmetics inspired by the Dying Light universe.
Players will encounter three enemy types from Dying Light: The Beast—Biters, Virals, and Chargers—within Castor Woods, a new area appearing across Livik and Erangel. Each creature presents its own challenge: Biters attack in numbers, Virals move with terrifying speed, and Chargers hit hardest with a brutal tackle-and-charge combo. Eliminating them grants access to a safe zone filled with rewards, including the Baseball Bat and Genome Synthetic Booster syringe. Using the syringe activates Beast Mode, enhancing movement, defense, and melee capabilities through the Aerial Smash ability.
Expanding Across Modes and Games
Beyond the standard battle royale, the collaboration also impacts PUBG MOBILE’s Metro Royale and World of Wonder (WOW) modes. In Metro Royale, players can find and sell the Genome Syringe after successful extractions. Meanwhile, WOW mode—running from October 20 to December 20—introduces five zombie types and a new crossover map inspired by Dying Light: The Beast.
Both games will host special themed events with crossover rewards. PUBG MOBILE players can earn items like the DYING LIGHT: THE BEAST Avatar, Frame, and Kyle Crane outfit by completing missions. Over in Dying Light: The Beast, players can expect a crossover quest and unlock items such as Crane’s outfit, themed weapons, and vehicle skins.
“Working with PUBG MOBILE was an absolute delight as it brings two iconic survival-focused franchises together,” said Tymon Smektała, Dying Light Franchise Director. Tencent’s Vincent Wang added that the event enhances PUBG MOBILE’s Halloween lineup with “new experiences and foes to the battlegrounds.”
The collaboration content is available now on iOS and Android versions of PUBG MOBILE, with the WOW mode continuing through December. Players can download the game for free on the App Store and Google Play.
