At the Galaxy Spring 2026 showcase, Envar Games announced that the Steam Early Access release date for its open-world co-op adventure game, 'Witchspire,' is set for June 10, 2026. In Witchspire, players join fellow witches to fight against a corruption consuming the world, embarking on a journey of magic-based exploration, character growth, and uncovering the world's secrets.

The Early Access version will feature two biomes where players can experience a variety of magical abilities and systems. Players can traverse the open world using movement mechanics like broomstick flight, spirit jumps, and blinks, while utilizing magic swords, staves, spell scrolls, and spellbooks to adapt to combat situations. It is also possible to summon allies to fight alongside you. Survival elements are included, allowing for activities such as crafting, farming, logging, and mining, with environmental transformation features that allow players to cultivate entire forests using magic.

Character progression centers on the Cosmic Luminaries tech tree, and players receive unique appearances and passive bonuses based on the witch coven they choose at the start. A creature collection system allows players to turn enemies into familiars to join them in battle, adding the fun of hunting for rare specimens. The game can be played solo or in online co-op, and players can build a shared base called the Sanctuary with their companions. Thanks to the Astral Projection movement system, players can freely design and manage their base without being restricted by complex structures.

Founded in 2020, Envar Entertainment is an art outsourcing and co-development studio composed of veteran developers who have worked on projects for major game companies such as Riot Games, Blizzard, and Tencent. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Envar Games is now developing its own IP with the goal of achieving AA-level quality, with Witchspire serving as its debut title.
