League of Legends applied Patch 26.12 on June 10. As the first patch of Season 2, Act 2, it focuses on broadening the champion pool ahead of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) in the next patch.

In the patch notes, Riot stated that it nerfed Ability Power (AP) Xin Zhao and buffed Yuumi. While some adjustments target professional play, most apply to all skill levels, including weakening Lee Sin and Nocturne in the jungle. Riot announced that it plans to maintain this direction until the next patch before returning to its usual balance cycle.

The two dominant junglers were both hit with nerfs. Lee Sin's Attack growth was reduced from 3.7 to 3.4, and the damage for his Q, Sonic Wave and Resonating Strike, was decreased. Nocturne's Q, Duskbringer, had its damage lowered from 65/110/155/200/245 to 65/105/145/185/225. AP Xin Zhao, who had been dominating the mid lane, received direct nerfs to his passive healing and the mana costs of his W and E skills.

The list of buffs is also extensive. Gwen, Hwei, Jax, Sylas, Syndra, and Yuumi received power increases, while Tristana, aiming for a return to the mid lane after two years, saw a significant reduction in the mana cost of her Q, Rapid Fire. Conversely, Orianna and Varus, both high-priority picks in professional play, were adjusted with a focus on their early-game power.

Game Modes are also changing. In the ARAM 'Arena' mode, new Skill Augments and multi-stage Quest Augments have been added, while the Augment trait system has been removed. Following positive feedback on the 3x6 mode, Arena has received buffs centered on Attack-based assassins.

During this patch cycle, Prestige Corrupted Beach LeBlanc, as well as Corrupted Beach Brand and Hwei skins, will be released.
