Netmarble has released a new update for Seven Knights Re:BIRTH, adding Celestial Guardian hero Randgrid, a new story event and a slate of limited-time in-game activities. According to a release, the update introduced [Final Pride] Randgrid, a new attack-type hero from the Celestial Guardians faction. Netmarble said the character focused on reducing enemy defences before launching a powerful attack against a front-row target.

The update also added [Wings of Darkness & Ranch] Deo as a special April Fools’ hero. According to the release, Deo came with silence immunity and was designed to offer players another option in Castle Rush. Alongside the new heroes, Netmarble rolled out a story event titled Two Hearts And Undying Memories, which centred on Randgrid’s backstory. Players who progressed through the event and cleared missions were able to earn rewards including a Legendary Hero Ticket and Brilliant Skill Enhancement Stones.

Additional content in the patch included a new minigame, Instant Deo, where players sliced incoming food items, as well as two new costumes. Netmarble also launched a number of themed events to mark the update. According to the release, the Deo’s Gift Event offered rewards such as the new Deo hero, Hero Summon Vouchers, Pet Summon Vouchers and Brilliant Skill Enhancement Stones through event check-ins.

Meanwhile, the Deo the Gourmandizer Appears! Event allowed players to collect points through gameplay and exchange them for rewards. Netmarble said those rewards included up to seven copies of Deo alongside other progression materials. Seven Knights Re:BIRTH is the latest title based on Netmarble’s Seven Knights franchise. The South Korean game developer and publisher said the new release retained core elements from the original game, including its story, characters and combat systems, while adding more modern gameplay features.

According to the release, the wider Seven Knights IP has surpassed 100m downloads worldwide. Netmarble, which develops and publishes mobile and online games, said more information on Seven Knights Re:BIRTH could be found through the game’s official website, forum and social media channels.
