A new video tied to the ongoing alternate reality game (ARG) for Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 has surfaced on YouTube, expanding the series’ cryptic “lost tapes” storyline with a faux internal report from Playtime Co. The video presents an abridged activity log dated August 1995, documenting escalating incidents inside restricted laboratory levels beneath the company’s facility.
The log opens with an “unscheduled power fluctuation” on Aug. 8, 1995, followed by reports of internal disturbance seen on security footage. Personnel status is listed as “unconfirmed,” a designation that persists throughout the document. A second entry dated Aug. 13 notes sustained movement in lab wings believed to have been cleared, the recovery of hand-drawn schematics near restricted access points, and a compromised escape attempt.
The final entry, timestamped Aug. 18, describes a containment integrity failure, audible structural damage to reinforced doors, and visual feeds capturing an unidentified presence in restricted corridors. Multiple impact events at a barricaded location are said to have led to a breached door and a complete loss of communication with on-site personnel.
Playtime Co. - Facility Status Update
The video concludes by labeling the facility “condemned,” framing the events as a turning point in the fictional company’s downfall. As with previous ARG drops, the footage avoids explicit answers, instead leaning on redacted text, distorted visuals, and fragmented timelines to encourage community speculation.

Mob Entertainment has positioned the ARG as a slow-burn lead-in to the next mainline release. Mob Entertainment confirmed that Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 — “Broken Things” will launch Feb. 18, 2026, on PC, with console versions planned for later in the year. The studio has encouraged players to wishlist the game on Steam and Epic Games Store, and to follow along for additional weekly ARG video releases over the next three weeks.
Further observation and discussion continue through the official community channels, where fans are dissecting each log entry for clues about the chapter’s setting, antagonists, and themes.
