Warhammer Day has landed with a bang — or more accurately, a WAAAGH! — as Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks receives a major free update that brings aerial combat to the green-skinned battlefield. Publisher Wired Productions and developer Caged Element have revealed that players can now soar above the chaos with the fan-favorite Deffkopta vehicle, a new addition that marks the game’s first foray into flight. The update also includes two brand-new maps designed for high-speed, high-explosive mayhem.

Players can zip through the air, unleash strafing fire on enemies, and divebomb their rivals in mid-race. According to Game Director Chris Mallinson, this update transforms the game’s flow: “This new vehicle really changes the dynamic of the game,” Mallinson said. “It fits right in with the rest of the roster, and we can’t wait to see how players use it. It’s a blast just to fly around.”

Alongside the Deffkopta, two new maps expand the roster of raceways. “Scrap In Da Yard” introduces vertical skirmishes and tight trench runs, while “Deff Gorge” reimagines a classic battleground with an expanded layout and new visual overhaul.
